  Change Maker Presentation Reflection The Change Maker Presentation was a great learning experience because it gave me the opportunity to learn more about an important historical figure while also improving my presentation skills. Before starting this project, I knew a little bit about George Washington, but I did not realize how much of an impact he had on the United States and democracy. We completed in SPC a presentation on change makers throughout history. Our class was divided into groups, and each group focused on a different time period ranging from the 1700s to the 2000s. My group, Group 4, was responsible for presenting change makers from the 1700s. At first, I thought it might be difficult to talk about people who lived so long ago, but after researching and listening to the other presentations, I realized how much impact these individuals had on the world we live in today. Preparing for the presentation gave me a better understanding of how important change makers are in shaping society. Many of the people from the 1700s challenged traditional ways of thinking and introduced ideas that influenced politics, science, education, and human rights.   Reflection on Changemakers of the 1700s One of the most interesting assignments I have completed this semester was the group presentation we gave in my speech class about changemakers from the 1700s. As a group, we explored how different people helped shape history and influenced ideas that still affect society today. Each member focused on a different historical figure, which allowed us to learn about a variety of perspectives and contributions. Looking back, this project was more than just a history presentation. It helped me improve my public speaking skills, work more effectively with a team, and understand how one person can make a lasting impact on the world.     1000 Reflection - Changemakers  When I look back on our class presentations about changemakers, especially the one my group did on the Changemakers of the 1700s, I can honestly say that I enjoyed this assignment a lot more than I expected to. At first I expected it to feel stressful like last time when we barely had any time to prepare, but this time we actually had enough time to work on it and get everything done without feeling rushed. Once we started presenting and listening to the other groups, I realized how interesting it was to hear about different changemakers from different eras and how each group interpreted the idea of “change.” It made the whole experience feel bigger than just a class assignment. The Changemakers project was one of my favorite assignments this semester because it allowed me to improve my public speaking skills while learning about important historical figures who helped shape democracy. Going into the presentation, I was still nervous, which is something I always experience when presenting to a class. However, I noticed a big improvement compared to our first presentation. My natural instinct when I am nervous is to speak very quickly because I just want to get through it as soon as possible. This time, I was more aware of my pace and made an effort to slow down. Even though I was nervous at the beginning, I think I did a much better job of speaking clearly and giving myself time to breathe between points. I also felt less nervous overall because this was our second presentation of the semester. Having already gone through the experience once made me more comfortable sharing my ideas with the class.   BLOG #2 YALAH FAGOTH MOLINA Reflection on the Change Makers of the 1700s      The Change Makers of the 1700s presentations were one of the most interesting assignments I completed this semester. The project allowed me to learn about important historical figures who influenced society through their ideas, leadership, and activism. It also gave me the chance to improve my research and public speaking skills. Even though I was nervous before presenting, I felt proud of my work once I finished.      For my part of the group presentation, I researched and presented Mary Wollstonecraft.
