For my SPC class, my group did a presentation on public speaking, and my part specifically focused on Chapter 17, which was about special occasion speeches and group presentations. At first, I expected to feel nervous presenting in front of the class, but honestly, I felt pretty fine once it was time to speak. I think being prepared and understanding my topic helped me stay calm during the presentation.Chapter 17 was actually more interesting than I thought it would be. Before this class, I never really thought about how many different types of speeches people give in everyday life. The chapter talked about special occasion speeches like introduction speeches, acceptance speeches, toasts, roasts, after-dinner speeches, and public testimony.
